Effective date: October 21, 2026 · Version: 1.0
We ask for feedback after auctions so businesses can improve their offers and we can improve Nearbidly. This page explains how feedback is requested, used and published.
1. The feedback we ask for
| Type | Who is asked | What it's about | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Auction review | Every participant after the auction closes, and buyers again after delivery (about 14 days later) | The auction and the business's offer or service | The business that ran the auction |
| Platform feedback | Every participant | How easy and enjoyable Nearbidly was to use | Nearbidly |
| Client review | Business owners who ran an auction | Their experience working with Nearbidly | Nearbidly |
Giving feedback is always optional.
2. We never filter reviews by how positive they are
- Everyone gets the same request. Everyone we ask receives the same request, whatever rating they gave or we expect them to give.
- Public review invitations go to everyone. If a business invites buyers to post a public review, for example on Google, every buyer gets the same invitation, regardless of their private rating. We never use private ratings to decide who is asked to post publicly.
- Negative reviews stay. We don't suppress, delete or hide negative reviews because they are negative. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, fake, off-topic or contains personal information, under the same rules for everyone.
- No reviews from insiders. Reviews are never requested from, or posted by, the business's owners, staff or their families as if they were customers.
3. Incentives
If a business or Nearbidly offers anything for a review, such as an entry, a discount or a bonus:
- it is offered to everyone asked;
- it is never conditioned on the review being positive or on its content;
- it is clearly disclosed with the request and alongside any published review.
4. Testimonials and using your name
- Explicit permission first: we or the business publish your words, name, photo or video only if you give explicit permission, for example by ticking "May we quote you?". We keep a record of what you agreed to.
- Exactly as you wrote it: testimonials are published as you gave them. We may shorten them for length, but never in a way that changes their meaning.
- Results aren't promised: testimonials reflect individual experiences. They're not a promise that others will get the same results, and published testimonials will not include income or earnings claims.
- Disclosing connections: if a reviewer has a connection that readers wouldn't expect, such as being an employee or receiving something free, it is disclosed.
5. Withdrawing permission
You can withdraw permission to use your testimonial at any time by emailing support@nearbidly.com or using the link in the original request. We remove it from Nearbidly-controlled pages within 24 hours and ask the business to remove it from its materials. Copies already printed, or published by third parties, may take longer to remove or may be outside our control.
6. How we use feedback
- Who sees it: feedback and ratings are shown to the business they relate to, in its reports and portal, and used by Nearbidly to improve the Service.
- What's used in analysis: only ratings and flags are used in our analytics. Written comments stay in our feedback records.
- How long we keep it: feedback is kept for 3 years. Published testimonials are kept while your permission stands.
- Learning across auctions: combined, de-identified results may be used to improve auctions in general.
7. Your content
You're responsible for what you write. Don't include other people's personal information, health information, or anything false or unlawful. By submitting feedback, you give Nearbidly and the relevant business a non-exclusive license to use it as described above. Public use requires your permission (section 4).
